The rise of a new renewable market, Agrivoltaics
At #CES2023 Coatema´s vice president @Thomas Kolbusch (THE coating expert) will have a talk at the flexible and #printedelectronics forum at the OE-A pavilion at booth 5936 at the Venetian expo, halls A-D. The title of his talk at 10 AM every day will be Organic photovoltaics: The breakthrough in new markets like agrivoltaics for flexible and lightweight PV.

What is #agrivoltaics
The use of flexible organic solar cells inside of greenhouses, also known as agrivoltaics, is a relatively new approach that offers a range of benefits for both the agricultural industry and the renewable energy sector. Agrivoltaics involves the integration of solar panels into greenhouse structures in order to generate electricity while simultaneously providing shade and protection for crops. The use of flexible organic solar cells, which are thin, lightweight, and highly efficient, makes it possible to install these panels in a way that does not interfere with the normal operation of the greenhouse or the growth of the plants.

At the #CES2023 there will be a new event at the OE-A pavilion in the Venetian expo, hall A-C at booth 51239. For the first time, the #OEA is organizing the flexible and printed electronics forum.
Every CES2023 day there will be a session in the morning and in the afternoon on new technologies from #OEAmember. Coatema Coating Machinery GmbH represented by their VP Thomas Kolbusch (THE coating expert) will have a talk at 11.00 AM on the breakthrough in new markets like agrivoltaics for flexible and lightweight PV and in the afternoon at 3 PM he will speak about Equipment for green hydrogen on the pathway to net zero.
