Our partner Coatema Coating Machinery GmbH designs and produces Sheet-to-Sheet and Roll-to-Roll equipment for coating, printing, and laminating sectors. For more than 40 years Coatema has been on the forefront of technology developments for engineering, design, and manufacture of laboratory equipment and pilot/production plants for both high tech energy markets such as solar, batteries, and fuel cells as well as traditional markets such as the textile sector and the materials converting market. Information Gathering
After an initial contact and likely NDA signing, we will send you our equipment or R&D questionnaires which will enable our engineers to gain initial understanding of your needs and requirements, followed by more detailed technical discussion meetings or conference calls.

Quote Preparation
Our engineers will review your individual requirements and provide either a high-level budgetary quote for our products and services or a detailed project quote. In many cases and depending on the stage of your product development our cooperation will start with engineering, consulting, and R&D services prior to equipment purchase.

Review and Alignment
We will review the quote multiple times with your team and include our team of engineers and researchers in meetings and calls to align on final project specifications, terms, and deliverables. If trials services are included, you will receive a trial protocol and associated pictures. With equipment purchase we offer both Factory and Site Acceptance Tests for your ongoing peace of mind.

Coatema is the leading German manufacturer of “Lab2Fab” coating equipment and operates the best equipped R&D Center worldwide with over 12 Coating lines and a team of over 10 researchers supporting new technology developments. We have been on the forefront of renewable energy development for over 20 years and have been supporting start-ups, research institutions, universities, as well as R&D efforts of large corporations in the renewable energy field.
Most of our partners have invented new technologies at universities and research institutions and are in the process of scaling up. Many of them reach a point when they need equipment and technical engineering that will allow them to move from idea and concept to lab and pilot. This is where next Machinery Group and Coatema come in. We support our partners throughout their innovation and development process, by providing engineering and consulting services, offering our R&D center for trials, and developments of customized R&D equipment for lab applications. As our customers grow from lab to pilot to production scale, we support them by providing available or developing customized coating, printing, and laminating technology that is required to upscale their production.
We also enable our partners to increase the speed of their development process, for example by providing slot die simulations, where we can simulate how a certain slurry will behave when coated on a particular substrate type. This can save many development steps and therefore time to market.
